The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared in the 2010 film "Badmash Company" with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The movie received mixed critiques. Anushka played a role in a film named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer, where she played a Punjabi-American girl of middle class, who establishes her own wedding-planning company. The movie received a great reception and became a sleeper. Anushka's 3-film contract at Yash Raj Films ended with Band Baaja Baraat.
