Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In this role, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also worked as an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions regarding space-related issues. As she covered the impeachment trials of two presidents and the presidential campaign for 2020, and both administrations attempts to curb the coronavirus epidemic Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. She also traveled with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin used her experience behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films, and became a preferred choice of corporate clients such as Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
